Disclaimer: what NvoVPN users need to know

The use of VPN services opens up wide opportunities for protecting personal data and ensuring privacy online. At the same time, each user bears a certain responsibility for how they apply encryption and traffic anonymization tools. This document details the terms of use of NvoVPN, the limits of liability of the parties, and the rights of users regarding the waiver of certain data processing conditions.

General terms of service

NvoVPN provides virtual private network services for individuals and organizations seeking to protect their internet connection from interception, surveillance, and unauthorized access by third parties. By connecting to our servers, you accept the terms of this agreement in full.

The service functions as a technical intermediary: your traffic is encrypted on the device, passes through our servers, and reaches the final recipient. NvoVPN does not store connection logs, does not record visited sites, and does not transfer information about user actions to third parties for commercial purposes.

Who these terms apply to

The terms apply to all categories of users:

  • individuals who have purchased a paid subscription;
  • users of the free trial period;
  • corporate clients who have connected under a business plan;
  • individuals using referral access or partner promo codes.

The fact of installing the NvoVPN application and the first connection to the server is considered unconditional acceptance of these terms, even if the user has not read the text of the agreement in full.

User responsibility when using a VPN

NvoVPN is a tool, not a license for any actions online. The user bears full legal responsibility for the nature of the traffic they direct through our servers.

Prohibited types of use

The following actions are expressly prohibited by the terms of use of NvoVPN:

  • Distribution of malicious software.Using a VPN to distribute viruses, trojans, ransomware, or other malicious components is unacceptable regardless of the technical possibility of such distribution.
  • Illegal collection of personal data.Phishing attacks, interception of credentials, unauthorized exploitation of vulnerabilities in third-party systems — all of this violates both our rules and the legislation of most countries.
  • Circumventing copyright protection systems for commercial gain.Downloading pirated content for personal use is in a gray area of legislation in many jurisdictions, however, its distribution and sale are direct violations.
  • DDoS attacks and scanning other networks without permission.Overloading servers, aggressive port scanning, and attempts to gain unauthorized access to third-party infrastructure are prohibited.

Legitimate use scenarios

NvoVPN is designed for legitimate tasks. Among the most common scenarios:

  • connecting to a corporate network while working remotely from a café, hotel, or airport;
  • protecting banking transactions when using public Wi-Fi;
  • accessing streaming services unavailable in your region for licensing reasons;
  • journalistic activities and research in countries with restricted access to information;
  • ensuring the privacy of correspondence and voice calls.

Limitation of liability of NvoVPN

NvoVPN provides services "as is" and is not responsible for the consequences that arise from using the service outside the framework described in these terms.

Technical failures and interruptions

Although NvoVPN's infrastructure covers servers in several dozen countries and provides channel redundancy, the company does not guarantee uninterrupted service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Interruptions may occur for the following reasons:

  • scheduled technical work and software updates of servers;
  • emergency situations at data center providers;
  • force majeure circumstances — natural disasters, power outages, actions of government authorities;
  • cyberattacks on NvoVPN infrastructure.

In case of a service interruption lasting more than 24 hours, users of paid plans can contact support for compensation in the form of an extension of the subscription for an equivalent period.

Jurisdictional limitations

VPN services are subject to various legal regulations in different countries. In China, Russia, the UAE, and several other states, the activities of VPN providers are regulated by specific laws that may prohibit the use of certain protocols or require registration with the regulator. NvoVPN is not responsible for the legal consequences of using the service in jurisdictions where such use is restricted or prohibited. The user is solely responsible for studying the applicable local legislation before starting to use the service.

Third parties and external resources

NvoVPN does not control the content of websites that users access through the VPN connection. Any materials, purchased goods, services, or consequences of interaction with third parties are solely the responsibility of the user and those third parties.

Right to withdraw: how to revoke consent to the terms

Every user has the right to refuse to use the service at any time and revoke consent to the processing of personal data. This right is guaranteed by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for European users and similar regulations in other jurisdictions.

Procedure for unsubscribing

To stop using the service and delete the account, the following steps must be taken:

  1. Log into the personal account on the website nvovpn.com.
  2. Go to the "Account Settings" section.
  3. Select the "Delete Account" option and confirm the action via email verification.
  4. Within 30 days from the confirmation, all data related to the account will be permanently deleted from NvoVPN servers.

Cancelling a paid subscription does not require deleting the account. The subscription can be canceled in the "Payment" section of the personal account, after which access to paid features remains until the end of the paid period.

Withdrawal of consent to the processing of personal data

Users registered in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or other regions with developed data protection legislation can submit a request for:

  • a copy of all personal data held by NvoVPN;
  • correction of inaccurate data;
  • restriction of data processing while keeping the account;
  • complete deletion of data ("right to be forgotten").

Requests should be sent to the data protection service address: . The processing time is up to 30 business days from the receipt of the request and confirmation of the applicant's identity.

Logging and privacy policy

What NvoVPN does not collect

NvoVPN adheres to a strict no-log policy. This means that the following data is never recorded or stored:

  • IP addresses assigned to users upon connection;
  • the addresses of websites and services accessed by the user;
  • the content of traffic transmitted through the VPN tunnel;
  • session timestamps and connection durations;
  • the volume of data transmitted and received by users.

What NvoVPN collects for service operation

To ensure the service's functionality, billing, and technical support, NvoVPN collects a minimally necessary set of data:

  • the email address provided during registration;
  • payment data — without storing full card details (processed by payment processors);
  • aggregated server load statistics without linking to specific users.

Changes to the terms and user notification

NvoVPN reserves the right to make changes to this document. The updated version takes effect upon publication on the website. The company will notify users of significant changes — those affecting user rights or data processing conditions — by email no later than 14 days before the changes take effect.

Continued use of the service after the specified date means acceptance of the new terms. If the user disagrees with the changes, they have the right to delete the account before the new terms take effect and receive a refund for the unused subscription period proportionate to the remaining time.
